Our latest news:

  • Our Year 5/6 Choir headed into London to perform as part of the Young Voices project, singing as part of a 6000-strong choir in front of a packed audience at the O2!
  • Year 5/6 organised a brilliant Harry Potter Day, linked to their English topic, which saw them making brooms, wands, potions and lots of Hogwarts-themed cakes.
  • We've all been doing loads of fundraising this year, including our Christmas Fayre, non-uniform days, and regular discos, all of which enabled School Council to buy a new Trim Trail for the school field.
  • School Council (with a bit of help from Mrs Draper) organised a fantastic Feel Good Week, filled with art, music, dance, fundraising and community events.
  • We've been working hard to build home-school links with a packed programme of events, workshops and activity sessions.
  • We celebrated Christmas with class parties, Key Stage 1's fantastic production of The Angel Who Nearly Missed It All and a huge Christmas Dinner on the last day of term.
  • We went to the polls to elect our new team of School Councillors, who will represent their classmates this year.
  • Every year group has been out and about on school trips,  which have taken them to the British Museum, Hazard Alley, parks, farms, theatres and fire stations!
  • Our production of Aladdin was a big hit, with over 340 tickets sold across 3 brilliant performances and every member of Key Stage 2 involved.
  • Year 6 had an amazing time on their PGL residential weekend, climbing, raft-building, abseiling and trying out loads of incredible activities that they'd never be able to experience at home.
  • This year's Sports Week was packed with competitions, taster-sessions and new activities - as well as our 3 fantastic Sports Days.

"Staff are very proud to work at Bedwell Primary School. There is a tangible sense of teamwork and commitment throughout the school."

At the end of each year, we celebrate the adventure that our Year 6 children have been on as they travel through our school with a special video which we watch in our final assembly of the year. You can watch our last few below:

Early Years Admissions

If you're looking for a place in Nursery or Reception, you can find out lots more about our school in our Early Years Prospectus.

We're always keen to show potential new applicants around - just get in touch with the school office to arrange a tour.

Once you're ready to apply, head to the admissions page to find out more about the process - we run Nursery admissions ourselves, but from Reception upwards, these need to be made via Herts County Council.
