We use our programme of assemblies to come together as a school, to celebrate successes and achievements, and to promote key values.
We start the week with Celebration Assembly on Monday afternoon, where Miss Shaw shares successes from the previous week, including announcing each class' Star of the Week, revealing the winner of the Attendance Cup and handing out merit and tables awards.
Tuesday assemblies are led by our Learning Superheroes, who send us videos each week. Each half-term is themed around a different superhero, who introduces themself and their powers at the start of the term, and then discusses issues and topics which are important to them over the weeks that follow. For example, in the second half of the Summer Term it was Isaac Independence's turn to lead assemblies, and you can see the videos he sent us below [please be aware that some of the files are very large, as they were intended to be watched on the projector screen in the hall]:
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, assemblies take place in each phase, often following-up on the themes introduced by our Superheroes earlier in the week.
"Leaders have a strong commitment to supporting pupils wellbeing and personal development."
At the start of each half-term, our superheroes send us videos to introduce themselves and their powers. You can watch some of these below:
At the end of each year, we celebrate the adventure that our Year 6 children have been on as they travel through our school with a special video which we watch in our final assembly of the year. You can watch our last few below:
If you're looking for a place in Nursery or Reception, you can find out lots more about our school in our Early Years Prospectus.
We're always keen to show potential new applicants around - just get in touch with the school office to arrange a tour.
Once you're ready to apply, head to the admissions page to find out more about the process - we run Nursery admissions ourselves, but from Reception upwards, these need to be made via Herts County Council.
