Bedwell Primary School

Here at Bedwell, we aim to offer a nurturing, supportive environment to every child that walks through our doors. Located in the heart of Stevenage, we are committed to helping every child reach their full potential in every aspect of life.

Our most recent Ofsted report praised the school for its "caring and inclusive" ethos, with our staff showing a consistent "commitment and determination to make sure the school is a ‘safe haven’ and that all pupils feel safe". Our curriculum is built around six core Learning Powers - Curiosity, Independence, Empathy, Perseverance, Reflectiveness and Cooperation - and these values are central to all that we do.

We also place a high value on art, drama and (particularly) sport, which has resulted in the school being selected to represent Stevenage at County level in six different sports over the last two years, as well as hosting the finals of the Stevenage Schools FA Cups. Our committment to sport also saw the school achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the third year running.

"Bedwell Primary is a very caring and inclusive school. Pupils are proud of their school and behave well. They said that they feel happy and safe."
