We couldn't all get together for our traditional sports days this year - but that wasn't going to stop us from trying out lots of sports and showing-off our skills in the Summer Term! As a result, for this year's Sports Week, Mr Butler organised a series of challenges for each class to try out on the field. These included dribbling footballs and hockey balls, netball shooting, speed bounce, athletics and golf. We worked around each challenge station in turn, keeping scores and working hard to develop our skills.
Everyone really enjoyed taking part and, even though we did miss all the fun (and cheering) of our sports days, it was great to get outside, get really active, and compete against the rest of our class. Some of us even won medals for our outstanding performances!
"Pupils have increased access to a range of sporting activities and events, both during and after the school day. This is valued by pupils, supports their self-esteem and enables them to learn how to keep themselves fit and healthy."
