Bedwell Primary School

Here at Bedwell, we aim to offer a nurturing, supportive environment to every child that walks through our doors. Located in the heart of Stevenage, we are committed to helping every child reach their full potential in every aspect of life.

Our 2022 Ofsted report rated the school as GOOD in all areas . The inspection team praised the school for its "friendly and supportive atmosphere", "ambitious curriculum" and "teamwork and commitment throughout the school", which ensure that "pupils do well and strive to meet the high expectations that staff set for them". Our curriculum is built around six core Learning Powers - Curiosity, Independence, Empathy, Perseverance, Reflectiveness and Cooperation - and these values are central to all that we do.

We also place a high value on art, drama and (particularly) sport, which has resulted in the school being selected to represent Stevenage at County level in six different sports over the last three years, as well as hosting the finals of the Stevenage Schools FA Cups. Our commitment to sport also saw the school achieving the Gold School Games Mark for the third year running.

"The friendly and supportive atmosphere at Bedwell Primary School means that pupils feel safe and secure and enjoy their learning."
