"Pupils are a credit to the ways in which the school has nurtured and supported their social and emotional development. They are polite, kind, confident and welcoming."

On Friday 15th March, 33 of us piled into a coach and headed to the South Downs for this year’s PGL residential trip. Over the course of the weekend, we got to try our hands at a huge range of activities that we’d never even thought about trying before, from trapeeze to raft-building, aeroball and abseiling. You can watch our highlights video here.

Fortunately, the weather stayed dry and sunny (ish) for the weekend, and we got to throw ourselves into a huge range of activities that we'd never had the opportunity to try out before. Here are some of our best memories:

I enjoyed facing my fear of heights, when we did abseiling, trapeze and the giant swing. I tried new foods and enjoyed them, and the fact that I got to stay with all my friends made my time at PGL even more enjoyable. - Daniel

PGL was a great experience! My favourite activities were archery, raft building (when my feet got very wet) and Robot Wars on Saturday night. -Dimitrious

My favourite part of PGL was the Giant Swing, because I faced my fear of heights by trying and trying again. On my first go I reached half-way, but after that I went right to the top! - Matthew

All too soon it was time to come home, and we returned on Sunday evening tired but excited about what we’d accomplished - and, as we’re sure you can tell from the pictures above and below, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip...
