Foundation visit Herrings Green Farm
"The school provides a range of experiences to motivate and enthuse pupils."
Foundation Stage had a fantastic time on their first school trip of the year, which took place in December.
We caught our first glimpses of the birds as soon as we arrived at Herrings Green Farm, and couldn’t wait to get inside. Over the course of the day, we saw a huge range of flying creatures, and were amazed by the eagles, owls and hawks - and we all got the opportunity to hold two owls (called Marmite and Oscar) too. Everyone was very brave! We also had the chance to watch a bird show, where they flew very close to our heads.
After lunch we went to visit the farm, where we saw Shetland ponies, donkeys and a very large shire horse. We got to touch guinea pigs and a very large rabbit! It was a fantastic (if a bit chilly) day and everyone had a great time - and we can’t wait to find out where our next school trip will take us!
