Our Classes... arrow

"Pupils and adults respect each other so that there is a strong sense of partnership in the learning that takes place."

Our School has steadily grown over the last five years, and we currently teach around 330 children at Bedwell, organised into 12 classes, from Nursery to Year 6. On these pages, you can find out about some of the exciting things that each class has been doing over the last few weeks, from trips and outings to sports events and art workshops. You can also find out more about what each class has been learning about, check out who's received School Awards this term, and read examples of our latest work.

  • Year 1 threw themselves enthusiastically into our Sports Week, with a Mini-Olympics, tramolining, Sporting Futures On Tour and an action-packed Sports Day...
  • Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed Sports Week too, and have done some fantastic writing based around the text How to Trap a Lion...
  • Year 3&4 headed to Cuffley Camp for their first ever residential trip, as well as getting into costume for an exciting Egypt Day...
  • Year 5 had a great day out at Chessington, visted Marriotts for a team-building workshop, threw themselves enthusiastically into our Hockey festival - and still found time to produce some brilliant writing, too...
  • Year 6 have had another busy term, and once SATs were out of the way, the end-of-year production of Grease took centre stage, building towards three amazing performances in front of an audience of over 400...

x

On each classes home page, you'll find a box like this, giving an overview of what we'll be learning about over the next half-term, along with a link to our latest Topic Plan (on the front of which is a similar overview, with key Learning Objectives on the back).

Anything you can do to help your child learn about these topics is hugely appreciated - don't hesitate to ask your childn's teacher if you'd like to know more!
